hearing people sing in the village at night time was really amazing, slow and deep voices, it sounded beutiful.

That would of scared the shite out of me! How did you get to go to villages?

i did a safari, loved the life, so wnet home, went on long term sick

then flew to mombassa, filled in a bogus hotel and address on my immigration card, the traveled by "MATATU" (a bus with hadrails welded all over it) out to the tribal areas, 20p a journey, most busses go a few miles at a time, or untill the driver gets a better fare

i was "seeing" a chiefs daughter, and after a week the "dowery" was disscussed

a cow and some goats later, i was married, and he allowed me to buy a land plot, and i had a house built, all brick with tin roof (real class) most lived in cowshit and sticks.
i paid the local copper to patrol not the village but just round my hut 20 cigs a day.

and i lived like a king, one time i picked up a brush to sweep the floor, and the "wifes" mother beat the shit out of her, as masai men dont do any labour at all, as a european my lack of local knoledge got my wife in the shite a lot.. i was washed, fed and every thing else, all i had to do was brush my teeth and wipe my bum.
EVERYTHING ELSE was done for me.

waking up at 7am when the sun came up, in bed at 7pm when the sun went down, (too many animals out to be out after dark) and theres NO lights at all in the bush

but after a while you miss "home", so it was a "matatu" and taxi back to a plane, and back to civilisation

(oh and the chiefs daughter did bloody well out of it) she became the wealthyst woman in the village, owning land , and a house

, oh and my WIFE is reading this, so thanks for getting me in the shit lewis

just to clarify , my ENGLISH WIFE , was sat next to me on her computer, and she started reading what id wrote, she knows about my past but raised the issue, of a african divorce and had i had one.

"yes of course love"

forgot all about that one

as i just "did one", i suppose im still married kind of, but in africa there no paper records kept in the bush anyway.

but i had to cut it short and end the tale sharpish, as my "signficant other" was showing TOO MUCH interest
